DoDo really knows how to celebrate his 1st birthday. This morning (May 4, 2020), owners Joanna and Jenny made DoDo a dog friendly carrot cake. Enjoy, DoDo!!! Have a fun day.

Today DoDo (formerly Taco) is celebrating his 1 year birthday along with his littermates.
Elijah (formerly Nacho) has become a show boy, but unfortunately with the present situation all the dog shows have been cancelled–even the National Bichon specialty (which has been rescheduled for September and we hope will take place!!!).
Burrito (name never changed) is also a show boy, just waiting around, getting into mischief and enjoying his play time out in the grass yard or digging up earthworms.


Fun litter of crazy boys. Just doesn’t seem like a whole year has gone by! Wishing them all good health and lots of fun as they begin their 2nd year.

Well, here we are. Absolutely Bichons and some of our extended friends and family. Missing dog shows, missing each other. We never could have imagined that this would be our 2020. Looking forward to the time when we can look back at these days and say…Remember when? Be safe, be smart, be healthy everyone.
We will get through this.

March 31 marks the 4th birthday of Sunny, now known as Molly (pictured here), Bella, Trystin and Spike. Molly has been working in the garden.

And 15 years ago today, three lovely puppies were born: Peyton, Tug and Cannon. They have the distinction of being the sweetest Bichons ever.

Me? A Judge?

Shortly after returning from the trip to NYC, I was off again traveling to San Diego to judge sweepstakes at the Bichon Frise Club of San Diego’s annual Specialty. Being the judge inside the ring is certainly a different feeling than being on the lead as an exhibitor. I had a nice collection of beautiful bichons to judge ranging from just above 6 months to over 9 years of age. Below are my two ultimate winners for Sweepstakes and Veteran Sweepstakes. Jack and Holly, both from Hollyhock Bichons in California.
