Millie is going to her first dog show. It’s for puppies 4-6 months old. She’ll get to see her brother and her other Bichon buddies. Should be fun!
Another bath?? Nobody told me I’d have to have a bath before a show!
I’m finally clean and dry. I’m glad that’s over!
Millie recently celebrated her 4 month birthday. Teething has gone into “overdrive” and soon she will lose those sharp baby teeth and her permanent teeth will come in.
I think I’ll chew on this piece of metal!
My red girl has a new call name and a new registered name. She is Absolutely Agape Lightning Bug aka “Millie”. The “Lightning” part of her name honors her sire, Lumiere and “Bug” honors her mother, Junebug.
Millie is 16 weeks old today. She is a quick learner and knows how to walk on a show leash, stand like a show girl (most of the time) and twirl. She’s learning the rules of the house and is doing very well.
“Oats” Absolutely You Make My Dreams Come True BCAT, has lived up to his name. First time show dog owner, KyAnna, had the dream of getting a championship on Oats before his second birthday. Both KyAnna and Oats have worked so hard and learned so much and Oats was recently awarded Best of Winners, achieving that sought after title of Champion.
Oats is now CH Absolutely You Make My Dreams Come True FCAT. Oats is a special boy!
Carlo and Millie went to their first show. They are too young to compete, but they need the exposure of a show environment. They both did great! They met lots of new friends, both human and canine. They practiced walking on a leash. They had lots of treats!
This is also the day Carlo goes to his new home with Sheri. She’s teaching him to stand like a show boy.
It’s not easy for me to say good-bye to this little guy, but I know I’ll be seeing him in the future.

Carlo is the observer of the two pups. He is more of a cuddler.
Two pups remain at my home. In a few weeks Carlo will be leaving to live with Sheri. The house is definitely quieter than with 5 puppies! The morning after the other three puppies left, Junebug was unsettled. I wondered if she would miss them and she did. Things are back to normal with her, and she has her favorite puppy to console her: the Red Girl, Millie.

Our Green Boy was born in the car and we called him “Carl” because of that. His forever name is very similar: “Carlo”.
Three of the puppies went to their forever homes today. It is bittersweet as I will miss them, but I am happy they are all in wonderful homes!
Purple Boy has a new name: Kaiju. His new owner is so excited to have him and he is even considering showing him.
Sandy will be taking Blue Boy (Buddy) to friends in Alberta. They can hardly wait to meet him!
Long-time friends of ours, Lori and Dale, will co-owner Turquoise Girl (no name yet). We are all hoping she will be a wonderful show girl for them.
Week 10 brought a spa day, complete with bath, trim and a puppy party with their best human friends. They had a zoom video call, showing off their lovely faces and conformation to friends in WA, AZ, CA and even Canada. They also got to demonstrate how well (or not so well) they can walk on a lead.
The Red girl loves to be in on the action. She is her mother’s favorite. She will be living with me.
Blue Boy will be known as “Buddy”. He is a sweetie.
Green Boy is a handsome dude. I love him.
Turquoise will be living in Canada with good friends.
Purple boy is the star when it comes to walking on a lead. He is spunky and isn’t afraid to let his mother know if she has gotten too rough.
