The 2nd Bichon Frise Club of Puget Sound Specialty was a terrific win for the Absolutely team. Burrito (Absolutely Affinity Full of Beans) was Best of Breed–beautifully handled by Cheyenne Calvert. Fiona (Absolutely Affinity Gaelic Princess) was Best of Winners and also received an Award of Merit. Shae (Absolutely Snowbird Unleash the Shenanigans) was Best of Opposite Sex. Fiona and Shae were expertly handled by Tasheena. Thank you Absolutely team for grooming and presenting these dogs–couldn’t have done it without you!!! And thank you to judge Chris Levy for recognizing our dogs–all 3 dogs are Sassy (CH Absolutely Affinity Take No Lip) pups–Burrito and Shae sired by GCH Absolutely Agape Happy Talk and Fiona sired by CH Absolutely Agape Heartthrob. Fun day–BIG WINS!!!
GCH Absolutely Wagnes It’s Time To pay The Piper aka Cash took a spin around the show ring as a Veteran at our local Specialty. Dina sat ringside so she could watch her boy as Dale Hunter moved him gracefully for the judge. Both Cash and Dale still have the moves.
On day 2 Adora was on the lead as Cash showed the youngsters how it’s done.
The veteran class is special and always gets applause and a misty eye or two. Well done Cash. Well done
Jerry and Belle travelled from Green Valley, AZ to participate in our local Specialty weekend. Both Belle and Jerry are still quite new to the show ring but they managed to score Winners and Best Opposite on Sunday. Now that the seal has been broken Belle should glide into her Championship. Jerry is a long time friend of Absolutely Bichons and we are so happy that he has jumped into the show-ring with his beautiful Belle. Another Absolutely Champion in the making. Great job Jerry!
With a young Champion you certainly don’t go into a Specialty expecting to win. Sometimes we are surprised. On day 1 in Puyallup Orion (Ch Purejoy’s Absolutely Searching For A Star 💫 ) was awarded Best of Breed by judge Michael Canalizo.
Orion still has some maturing to do but I can see some more winning in his future.
18 months-first time out as a Special.
Junebug was winners to add to the point total toward her championship There were 5 shows at our recent Bichon Specialty and Puyallup Summer Cluster Shows. The females took turns in the “winners circle”.
It’s been a year since I’ve seen Bridget (now known as Daisy)
She came for a visit yesterday and it was wonderful to see this lovely, happy little girl. She had fun with her Bichon relatives, too.
“Gracie,” Absolutely Bringing Every Little Blessing (GCH CH Absolutely Agape Happy Talk x CH Absolutely Affinity Take No Lip) went Winners Bitch for her first point on Friday at the Northwest Cluster in Lynden, WA. Gracie was also Reserve Winners Bitch on Saturday and Sunday. Both Jan and Gracie have been working very hard and all that hard work is paying off!!! Good job Jan and Gracie!
How fast? How much fun can I have?
Finally we get to go to a show close to home. Over the course of three days, every dog entered was given recognition. On Sunday it was Junebug’s day to get best of the females entered. But the most fun she had was on Sat. when she was entered in a competition called FastCat.
Junebug was a first time competitor and she ran the 100 yard dash in 19.28 seconds!
