Why buy toys when a garbage can, dish pan, and storage box will do! This is Red girl on top of the garbage can–the pups climb up on top of the can, run inside–dig and wrestle and just generally have a good time! The dish pan when placed upside down rocks a little–the pups climb all over the dish pan and are not at all frightened by the rocking motion. Most days the grooming table is also flat on the floor for the pups to run and play on.Blue girl on a storage container with a rope chew toy. Buzz helping me by holding the towel (that I had just used to dry Sydney) on the floor. Whenever you try to do something and the pups are around they really like to help you–in fact, you have more help than you can actually use. All 3 of these pups are really growing now–eating puppy food (they especially like some canned food mixed in with the kibble) and want to spend more time out playing than being contained in their x-pen area. So much fun! So much energy–by 9:30 p.m. I’m exhausted and they’re still going.
This is the sweet Pink girl (aka Red girl)–still the smallest of the litter, but mighty!!! The puppies had their first bath–with only 3 pups in the litter Sydney has kept the pups very clean, but eventually they get kind of stinky from wrestling with each other. Miss Pink girl was very good in the bath and getting dried by the hair dryer. Blue girl is so active that to get a picture of her just sitting is almost impossible. Miss Blue was very good in with the bath and pretty good with the hair dryer (which she’ll have to get over because she was born a Bichon and there will be many bathes in the future!). Buzz getting ready to pounce on Blue girl–these 2 pups tend to wrestle with each other lots!! Buzz was good in the bath and with the dryer. For a first bath I was very pleased with the pups–I was not soaking wet and didn’t get scratched. Buzz loves to run and seems to be living up to his name. This week the pups will get their first set of puppy shots and have their first car ride (I’m hoping all will go well). Love this age–the pups are so much fun.
Red Girl–Such a sweetie! Today the pups got their first hair cut–thank you Sheri for running the clippers over them (it took 2 of us–Sheri on the clippers and scissors–and me holding, hoping to keep them relatively still!). This is Red Girl again–and this is why it is not easy to get a 6 week old puppy to stack.Blue Girl–Always looks for trouble and the first pup to explore new things! She is a fun pup to have around. From her picture it appears I need to trim the hair between her eyes–not an easy task–scissors and a wiggly pup.Blue Girl being more cooperative about trying a stack.Buzz–after his hair cut, Buzz no longer looks chubby–wish it were that easy for all of us to lose weight! Buzz is a character! Fun, fun, fun!!! that’s the motto of this puppy. The Buzz stack–probably the most cooperataive of pup to stack of the 3.
Definitely need a bigger box–with all 3 puppies trying to sleep on the box it is crowded, so I think it is time for a new, bigger box.Buzz (on the left) and Red girl (on the right) have been enjoying being out of their pen area and running and playing the full distance of the tiled area–now they want to be out all the time and they sure let their desire be known!!! Fun age–a few teeth (those little needles) have arrived and the pups really get around well now.Blue girl–the hardest to get a picture of–I tried yesterday until the camera battery needed to be charged–but today while out playing and running I was finally got a picture. I know in the future weeks getting pictures will become even more difficult, but puppies are FUN and worth every minute!
Ruth gets a kiss from Blue girl. This was last week when Blue girl was 4 weeks old. Sydney is standing in the back making sure Blue girl is being good!
- This is a very crowded crate pad with these 3 pups trying to take a nap together (It is a very small crate pad). Blue girl is on the left, then Red girl in the middle with Buzz on the right side (sleeping on his back, his favorite position). The puppies had lots of visitors today (which is so good for them!!!) and they were very tired after everyone left.
Red girl–the first female born and the smallest at this time of the 3 puppies, but doing her best to catch up with her siblings.Blue girl–second born and a “chow” hounds from the beginning. Growing and gaining weight every day.The handsome boy–the last to be born and the biggest of the 3 pups. All the pups are growing rapidly and changing so quickly–pigment coming in. It’s going to be so fun to watch them grown. Sydney is doing well and is just being an excellent mother for her first litter.
