Our boy Simon was Best of Breed both days in Bremerton, WA. He got a GROUP ONE on Saturday. It’s so exciting to be in the Best in Show ring! Picture will be posted when it is available.
Day 1) Silver GCH Absolute Affinity Agape Bullet Proof (Simon) won Best of Breed and Group 1st at the Seattle Kennel Club dog show today. Thank you to the well respected judge Mr. Vincent Grosso.
Our favorite local show.
Day 2) Group 3. Another nice group placement compliments of judge Mr. Joe Walton. Thank you Mr. Walton!
A great weekend for team Simon. Neither of these judges had seen Simon before so we are extremely pleased that they both pulled him out of the wonderful lineup of dogs at the Seattle Dog Show.
Simon started the new year off right! He won Best of Breed all three days in Puyallup, Washington. He got a Group 3 on Monday. At four years old, he’s looking and showing the best he ever has.
Simon made the long trip to Orlando, Florida this December for the AKC/Eukanuba National Dog Show. He was accompanied by Sheri and Michael. His cheering section included Sue.
His recognition exceeded our expectations:
Tues.: Best of Breed, Judge Mrs. Helen Winski Stein
Wed.: Select Dog, Judge Mrs. Rita Holloway
Thurs.: Select Dog, Judge Ms. Elizabeth Muthard
Fri.: ( Owner Handled Series) Best of Breed and Group 2, Judge Mr. Desmond J. Murphy
Sat.: Select Dog, Judge Mrs. Judith V. Daniels
What a fabulous weekend for www.AbsolutelyBichons.com and team Simon. After winning a Grp 3 on Thursday, Grp 2 on Friday, Grp 1 and Best In Show on Saturday, Simon wrapped things up with another Grp 2 today. These wins also gave him the title of Grand Champion and garnered him the placement of Number 1 Bichon in Canada for 2013. Thank you so much to our fellow bichon exhibitors for your support and enthusiasm. You really have no idea how special that is to us. AB Handler Heidi Gervais was kind enough to send this shot of the BIS ring when Simon was awarded his ribbon. You can barely see his little nose peeking out there. The photo I will entitle “Simon en Repose” was taken about an hour after we got home. I think he is grinning just a little bit.
The largest dog show in Canada, the Lower Mainland Dog Fanciers (formerly known as TradeX) is still my favorite show of the year. And probably will be forever now!
It’s so nice to hear about the puppies who have gone to their new homes. The report on Zoe is that she’s so smart, doing well with her potty training and is the sweetest dog ever!
I don’t know why it’s so difficult to get a good photo of Baron, unless it’s because he won’t sit or stand still! Here he is, hunting leaves. In this shot of Flo-Jo, she is trying to get an older dog to play with her.
Flo-Jo (Piper’s Red Girl) will be staying with me. Here’s a picture of the sweet (but sassy) girl.
Logan (Piper’s clear boy) is having a great time! I don’t think he misses me at all!!
