Last Saturday, January 12, while attending the dog shows in Puyallup, Lisbon (aka Green Girl) came for a visit. It has been a while since I’ve seen Lisbon (sometime this summer) and it was so fun to see her. Here I’m getting a Lisbon kiss. Sweet girl and a wonderful family.

Skye getting a hair cut from Sheri last weekend. At 7 1/2 months she is growing up quickly. Skye has puppy hair, but it is getting better with each trim.
After her hair cut, Skye shows off her profile and how nice she looks. Now if she will just not consider walking on the leash punishment and keep her happy tail up all will be well–she is getting better with the leash, I’ve had other dogs that took a while to learn that going for a walk on a leash was fun.

On Tuesday morning Mary and Mochi flew away to Hawaii. Mochi had fulfilled all the Hawaii quarantine requirements and was cleared to go to Hawaii under the airport release program. So aloha Mochi. We miss you, but you have a wonderful home. We’ll look forward to seeing you when you come to the mainland to visit.
Upon arriving home, Mochi immediately jumped into her new bed along with her ball. Mary says that Mochi spends lots of time in her bed with her toys looking out the front door watching for people and all the activity in front of the house.

Friday, Sept. 21, Ivy Marie (formerly Pink Girl) started a BIG adventure. Tom came to get her, they drove to Sea-Tac Airport and flew away to Albuquerque, NM. Coreen and Tom have been waiting for this little white ball of energy to join their family–now made up of Boo (a Bichon) and Palomita (the hairless cat). I understand Ivy was a good traveler and is rapidly settling in to her new home. We all miss her, especially her littermates, Skye and Mochi (Blue and Clear girls), but we know Ivy is starting a wonderful life!

Pink Girl–now known as “Pinky”. Fun, energetic little pup–seems to be the one that gets the other pups running, wrestling and chasing. Pinky is also the pup that likes to “talk” to you–woof!
Clear girl, now known as Mochi, will be headed to Honolulu, Hawaii after all of her quarantine rules are met–then when she arrives in Honolulu with her owner, Mary, she will be met by the animal quarantine people, taken to the quarantine area where all her paperwork will be reviewed, checked to make sure all fees are paid, her health certificate is in order–then she will be released to leave with Mary and begin her life in Hawaii. Mochi is a very sweet pup–loves tummy rubs.
Green girl, now named Lisbon (or Lizzie for short) lives in Redmond with her owners, but came to visit for a couple of weeks while her owners travel to New York. Lizzie loves to run and play in the grass yard.
Blue girl, now known as Skye, will live here and we’ll see if she turns out to be a show dog. Skye likes to be outside in the grass–and doesn’t mind getting in the wrestling matches.

Lisbon (Lizzy for short) has gone to her new home with Kristen, Andy, Jordan, and Devon. She is missed by all of us, but she will be back to visit from time to time and there will be more pictures of Lizzy’s new adventure.

Lots of changes for the little girls–this week they had their first full bath (and did very well) and dry with the hair dryer (again they did well). Then came the clippers and their first hair cuts–no fear, they were good and it didn’t seem to bother them at all. Since it was “spa day”, they also got a nail trim. The pups are growing rapidly and want to be out playing all the time. Since the weather has gotten nice I think this week will be another trip out to the grass yard.

Tuesday was a beautiful, warm day–perfect for taking the puppies outside for their first experience in the grass–they LOVED IT! The pups ran, wrestled, and played with each other in the grass and with their fan club.
After time outside it was time for a little nourishment and then a BIG nap. The only problem that has arisen is that the puppies now want to go outside every time the big dogs go–staying in their x-pen just isn’t fun and leads to lots of whining and pleading to get out.
