On Saturday, August 17, the Absolutely team was in Enumclaw for the Olympic Kennel Club dog show and there was a reunion of the Oliver/Sassy litter. Joanna and her dad, Ming, came to the show (they have come to many shows) to support us so we thought Joanna should have some Absolutely stuff–hat, bag and key fob (all made by Sheri. Pictured with Joanna is little DoDo (aka Taco).

From left to right–DoDo (aka Taco), Elijah (aka Nacho), and Burrito (still Burrito since we haven’t come up with a new name for him) at the dog show in Enumclaw. When the pups got together it was like they had never been apart–wrestle, chase, and have a good time. So fun to see them together–hope to be able to do it often.

Sunday little Blue boy went to his new forever home and now has a new name, DoDo, which in Chinese means “a lot and more”. Ming says he brings us lots of love, joy, and many, many more good times–every day.
Here are Joanna and DoDo in little DoDo’s new house–looks very nice and I’m sure DoDo will enjoy his new bed and area along with playing with the family.

Orange boy not only has a new home with Jan and Mark, but he now has a new name–Elijah. Big name for a little boy, but he’ll grow into his name–sweet boy!

Wednesday Green (left) and Blue (right) had a vet appointment for their 2nd puppy shots–so they had a bath, blow dry, nails trimmed, and a little hair trim before going to the appointment. The appointment went well–Green (Burrito) only escaped from the vet and exam room twice (and my vet said he has never had a pup jump over his foot and run out the door), and ran up and down the hall having a wonderful time–unfortunately all good things end and we got him back in the exam room. Both pups did well, no ill effects from their shots.

12 weeks flew by quickly–Little Orange boy is off today to his new home with Mark and Jan and a new adventure. Jan and Mark are waiting to give Little Orange boy a new name until they see his personality emerge. I’m sure we’ll get some pictures and be able to post them along with his new name–looking forward to it.

The 3 little boys turned 11 weeks on Saturday (left is Blue, on his side is Green, on the crate pad is Orange). This weekend they are entertaining lots of visitors and enjoying every minute, so they are resting up for their Sunday visitors. Unfortunately they only rest for a short period of time before they are ready to run, wrestle, growl, and play again. They are a fun litter.

From Left to right: Blue (Taco), Orange (Nacho) and Green (Burrito) all waiting to be released from their x-pen to play in the dog room–and they love being out! This weekend the pups had lots of visitors. On Saturday Adam and April came over to visit and play–and we had lots of visitors that also came to the see the pups and play with them. On Sunday the pups had several more visitors–so a busy weekend of socializing. Entertaining can be tiring, but after several naps the pups are rejuvenated and ready to take on the world.

Today the “boys” had their first bath and hair cut. Mr. Blue (aka Taco) was the best with both the bath and then the dryer and hair cut.
Green boy (aka Big Burrito) did not have a bath and hair cut on his agenda today–but we made it through. Since the “boys” were supposed to be born on Cinco de Mayo (but they actually arrived 1 day early–on the 4th of May), that’s the reason for the Mexican food nicknames. On Saturday when I weighed the pups I found that I can no longer call him the Big Burrito since he is no longer the biggest of the 3 pups–so now it is just Burrito.
Orange boy (aka Nacho) is now the biggest of the 3 pups. Like the Green boy, he did not have a bath and haircut on his schedule, but endured and we got it done. All 3 of the pups continue to grow and are now trying out puppy food, supplemented by Sassy. This week they have also had the opportunity to get out of their x-pen area and run in the dog room–now it is hard to listen to them whine when they want out to play.

Blue boy is growing rapidly trying to catch up with his littermates–he weighs almost 2 pounds. Although still the smallest he doesn’t let that stop him–he’s in the middle of every wrestling match.
Green boy is still the largest of the 3 male pups, but only by a couple of ounces. The pups have been more active this week with each other, their toys and their humans. So fun to watch them grow and change week by week.
Orange boy continues to be the pup that is the first to try new things or explore new territory. On Saturday the pups moved out of the bedroom and into a larger area where there is more activity (with people and the other big dogs) and room to run and play–they have adapted well. In addition the pups have started on puppy food–sloppy though it is, it is still a hit and they seem to really like the food, I think the goats milk makes the food more appealing to them. Skye, who is still very much a pup herself, is totally fascinated by the 3 little boys–I’m sure she is looking forward to playing with them when they are bigger.

Don’t know how I got all the pups to sit and pose for their pictures today–just a minor miracle!! This is Blue boy and he had a busy 4th week growing and venturing out to explore new areas. Eyes and ears are open, their tails are up over their backs now. Blue is still the smallest of the 3 male pups, but what he lacks in size he makes up for in attitude.
Green boy is the largest of the pups and has the most hair. From the picture I see it is time to trim the hair around his eyes. All 3 pups are now playing with their toys and each other–after all there is nothing like a good wrestling match with your brothers.

Orange boy is the first of the 3 pups to try something new–he is always ready for a new adventure and loves being out of their sleeping area where he can explore and get into mischief. Sassy, mom to the pups, has begun playing with them–all part of the training their mother will give them.
