At our local Bichon specialty show, we added the bred by exhibitor special attraction category. Only the person(s) who bred and own the dog can take the dog in the ring.
Junebug, affectionately known by many as “BUG” was at a disadvantage since I was the person responsible for showing her. She made me proud!
Junebug competed in Fast Cat competition in Lynden, WA. Fast Cat is basically a 100 yard dash for dogs. The show must go on, rain or shine. Today it was RAIN!
She worked hard and achieved her American Championship. Junebug is a fun and funny little girl. Thanks, Tasheena, for loving her, showing her and taking such good care of her.
Sometimes trying to take pictures of the dogs can be very frustrating–the dogs are looking in different directions, the people are struggling to get the dogs to pay attention and look good for the pictures–this is about as good a picture as we could get of the 3 Saturday winners. Junebug on the left, then Burrito and Johnny on the right.
The sport of Fast Cat is catching on in the Pacific Northwest Bichon group. Participants recently included Junebug, Pixie, Shae, Gracie, Elijah and Fiona.
Junebug was winners to add to the point total toward her championship There were 5 shows at our recent Bichon Specialty and Puyallup Summer Cluster Shows. The females took turns in the “winners circle”.
How fast? How much fun can I have?
Finally we get to go to a show close to home. Over the course of three days, every dog entered was given recognition. On Sunday it was Junebug’s day to get best of the females entered. But the most fun she had was on Sat. when she was entered in a competition called FastCat.
Junebug was a first time competitor and she ran the 100 yard dash in 19.28 seconds!
Junebug has her game face on for her debut at the Bichon Frise Club of America’s National Specialty – May 2022
The Absolutely group and friends had a fantastic time in Tulsa, OK at our National Specialty. Although Junebug took second place to her half-sister, Fiona, she showed great and made lots of friends. She is such a good girl!
