The puppies are almost 14 weeks old. These three are still living with me. They are at such a fun age!
Gray is growing like a weed. He loves his food.
Favor (peach girl) likes to play, but she likes to be cuddled, too.
I got Nao Nao (brown boy) up from a nap. Obviously, he’d rather be sleeping!
Today is the day Jennifer and her sister came to choose between Brown and Blue Boys. She has had her eye on Blue Boy since pictures were first posted, 11 weeks ago.
Bridger gets to live with his three-year old uncle, Brinkley. He loves to play and this is a good fit.
Blue and Brown boys are having a wonderful time running through the living room. This was taken before they discovered the joys of chewing the Christmas tree. One of these boys will go to his new home tomorrow.
Boys just want to have fun!
Today was the official day the pups were evaluated. There were lots of friends here and the puppies had a wonderful day!
Pink girl will be going to Canada to begin her career as a show girl
Peach girl will stay here.
Turquoise Girl will go to live with her Grandmother and half-sister on Vancouver Island. Show girl? She looks like she is pondering that possibility.

Blue Boy – does his tail every stop wagging? Happy, happy boy!
Brown Boy – He was too tired to stand, so he is sitting and looks like he’d like to lie down and have a nap.
We took a look at the girls, trying to decide if they are show quality. Conclusion is that all are nice and good prospects for the show ring. I cut their hair very short to get a good look at their body conformation. We attempted to “stack” them on the table, as they will have to do that for showing. I think they did quite well for being as young as they are.
Pink Girl. “Just give me the cheese and I’ll stand pretty!”
Peach Girl. “You want me to stand still?”
Turquoise Girl. “O.K., I’ll stand here, but after the picture I’m going back to sit on my step.”
Official pictures didn’t fit into the schedule this week. I did capture a few candids and should have some nice pictures this Saturday, with the help of some friends.
Playing hard – napping hard. Brown Boy is totally relaxed.
Turquoise Girl was one of the first pups to climb up the one stair that is available to them. But she is always reluctant to get down. I’m trying to teach her how to do it, but she is content to stay on “her” step and survey the world.
Peach Girl and her sister Pink were fighting and Andrea rescued Peach. Pretty cute!
The puppies had their 8 week vaccinations and health check up. All are healthy. They were pretty relaxed at the vet’s. Blue Boy just stayed in his crate and had a nap until it was his turn. The pups were all brave.

Pictures? The puppies were not interested and were not cooperating! I tried to trim the hair from around their eyes – they must have had a group meeting and decided that wasn’t going to happen today either. Sorry these shots do not really represent how cute they are!
They are little porkers. All weigh over 3 lbs. now and they eat a lot. Gloria has definitely cut back on her time with them, but she is still a doting mother and once or twice a day she’ll choose to feed them.
They absolutely love to run through their part of the house and enjoy time on the patio. 5 month old Junebug is allowed in their pen for playtime. It’s good for her to have playmates and she helps to keep the puppies entertained.

The baths went well. The big dryer was a little scary. The clippers were met with varying degrees of appreciation.
I can’t remember any 6 week old puppies having this much hair.
The Pink Girl was a star in the bath…thus she had her picture made while she was still wet. She cried when it came time for the dryer, but she became more comfortable as time went on.
Gray Boy had the most hair of any of the hairy pups.
Peach Girl was a brat! She even did what groomers hate, and put her paw over my hand, trying to push it away. Consequently, her haircut is the shaggiest. But when it was time for the picture, she sat like a princess.
Blue Boy was the bravest with the dryer. He is the happiest little guy. His tail wags like a windshield wiper.
Turquoise Girl’s coat rivaled Gray Boy is quantity. Whenever her picture is taken, she tilts her head from side to side.
Brown Boy has a very masculine look. He was right in the middle as far as tolerating the dryer and clippers. Clipper time at first made him unhappy and he moved around a lot. Then he settled down and tail started wagging. That just made him move more, so clipping was difficult. He has been known to express his opinion when he’s unhappy, but I guess he wasn’t too upset as he didn’t say a word.
Things are changing for the puppies. They still sleep a lot, but are interested in playing much more than they were last week. One boy climbed out of his nighttime box so we had to come up with another place for puppies to sleep – and Mom Gloria wants to be able to watch over them, go in to see them occasionally, but she wants her own space, too.
The puppies are wearing their collars (under close supervision). They have been introduced to the brush and comb. (You can’t start that too early) Litter box training is going well. Pink girl is still the star pupil.
