In May, Karen, Sue and I traveled to Indianapolis, Indiana for The Bichon Frise Club of America’s National Specialty. This is an event we look forward to each year. All the top bichons in the country gather to compete. It is an especially important event for us in the Northwest since its the only opportunity for anyone other than our neighbors to see our fine dogs. At no time in the year will we face stiffer competition than at nationals. Going in we just hoped for our dogs to finish high in the ribbons in their respective classes and for them to get some attention. I’d say…mission accomplished.

Benny and Sydney were entered in Puppy Sweepstakes. Simon was entered in Bred By Exhibitor – Special Attraction and Best of Breed. Benny finished 3rd in his Sweep class and Sydney finished 2nd in hers. Both puppies showed extremely well and we are excited about their promising future in the ringĀ  Simon finished 1st in his Champion Dog Bred by Exhibitor class…then went back in to win Best Bred by Exhibitor. Wow!! Thank you judge Dale Hunter from Victoria, BC.
