We met Donna in January at a dog show.  She had just lost her Bichon, Marco, and was at the show to see someone else.  She  just “happened” to sit right in front of me and Monroe.  Monroe went down to visit Donna.  We talked and Donna knew the only breed for her was Bichon Frise.  She has waited patiently and today she got to take home her Bella.

The girls are 12 weeks old today.  First they got a bath.  Then they got to play with their new best friend, Sassy Paulson.  Next they charmed the people in the lobby at the vet’s office.  Puppy shots (oh well, no day is perfect).

I’m always concerned about a puppy’s first night in his new home.  Here’s the excellent report for “Blue Boy.”

“What a wonderful puppy you gave me.

He didn’t want anything to eat when we got home so we went to bed.  He snuggled up to me and fell asleep.  I put him in his bed which is beside me.  He woke up at five.  He hasn’t cried at all.  He ate a big breakfast and we played until six thirty.  He seemed tired so I lay down on my bed and we both fell asleep.  …. He is very adventuresome.  Wants to see everything.  I am right behind him to make sure I have puppy proofed everything.  He has bonded to me not Jack yet.  He wants me to hold him and I don’t want to spoil him.  I think I may already done that.  I will write again this afternoon.  I love my Tristan Blue.  That is his name and I wouldn’t trade him for a million dollars.  Love, Audrey and Tristan Blue.”

It’s raining.  I think it’s making the 11 week old puppies tired.

Saying farewell to a puppy is bittersweet.  I hate to see them go, but know they are going to be so happy in their new home.  Blue Boy will be owned by Audrey, and co-owned by Dale Hunter, and will be a show boy.  He has such a sweet temperament.  He loved to hang out with me and get and give kisses.  I know he will be a blessing

Good-bye my loving Blue Boy

Baron, CH Absolutely Agape Heartthrob, won Best of Breed at our local specialty show! He can now include BISS (Best in Specialty Show) before his name. On Sat. he was once again Best of Breed! What fantastic recognition for a special boy. Thank you to the judges, to Sheri for grooming him so beautifully and to Karen who handled him to his wins.

Neither girl wanted to sit still for a picture today.  At 10 weeks old, they think they have better things to do!

Miss Orange is very independent. I counted 3 puppies and couldn't find her. She was in her dog yard, in a corner, trying to dig through cement. Who wants to sit for a picture when adventures await elsewhere??

Pink Girl, who is usually quite agreeable, threw a little fit today. She circled and circled on the table. Then she was mad at me and wouldn't look at me. Finally we got this picture.
