The puppies had a nice little romp and were settled for a long sleep. Blue Boy did not like the idea of having a camera put in front of his face and he barked and growled at it.

Today the puppies had their first taste of something other than Sunny’s milk.  They had fun walking in it, but not much went into their mouths.  It won’t be long before they are chowing down.  I think Sunny is doing such a good job of feeding them that they are very happy to maintain the status quo.

Mr. Blue Boy – the oldest and still the heaviest.

Brown is getting cuter every day.

Turq didn’t want to look up today. He must have been sleepy.

What an exciting week for the puppies.  They are walking around and usually can get where they intend to go.  They have begun to play with each other and to show interest in their toys. Brushing and combing have begun so they’ll get used to future grooming.

Blue is the champion eater. He weighs 1lb. 14.4.

Brown is our smallest boy. He gains weight every day and today his weight is 1 lb. 8.5. This picture doesn’t do him justice. He has a very cute face.

Turq is 1 lb. 11.1.
His pigment is the best of the three.

The three little boys spend most of their time sleeping.  They do get quite excited at chow time, then it’s back to sleep once again.  It takes a lot of energy to grow as quickly as they are growing.

Eyes are beginning to open.  They are also getting up on their legs a little bit.  Soon they’ll get a larger playpen so they can exercise those muscles as they learn to walk and play.

Blue Boy is our largest at 1 lb. 5.9. His eyes have not opened.

Brown is the smallest. He weighs 1 lb. 1.7. His eyes opened first.

Turquoise is 1.5 lb. He has the most pigment. His eyes are just beginning to open.

Blue Boy is the largest in the litter. He is an enthusiastic eater.

Brown Boy is the smallest. But he, along with his brothers, has doubled his birth weight.

This is turquoise. He may be the most photogenic.

Neurological Stimulation Exercises began at 3 days old and will continue until they are 16 days old.  It’s a series of 5 simple exercises, each performed for 3-5 seconds:  hold the puppy upright, hold him upside down, hold him on his back, tickle between his toes with a Q-tip, place him on a cold surface.  Mommy is very glad when the puppy comes back to the crate with her.

All the puppies are doing very well. They doubled their birth weight by day 6. Pigment is coming in. They had their first nail trimming today and Mr. Turquoise was kind enough to pose for this picture.
