Today (10/28/12) is the end of week 2 for the pups–they are changing rapidly–eyes are opening, they are growing bigger and stronger each day. Rosie is doing a great job. The pups are in birth order Blue girl, Pink Girl, Little Male, Red Girl, and Purple Girl and mother, Rosie
Rosie and Zeke are proud to announce the birth of their litter on Sunday evening, Oct. 14, 2012. Starting at 8:05 p.m. and ending at 10:40 p.m., 4 females and 1 male were born. All had good birth weights and are active little pups. Rosie is an excellent mother and seems to have everything under control. Zeke on the other hand is still waiting to get a chance to see his puppies–which will happen after Rosie has a couple of days to adjust to her new family. Both Sue and Karen were on hand to assist Rosie with her delivery and all went smoothing–a new experience for Karen!!!
Zeke in Wenatchee
Since Piper is half Canadian (her Dad, Craigdale Chip Off The Rock was the #1 Bichon in Canada in 2008) and since we do live so close to the border, it seems only right that Piper have her Canadian as well as her American championship. That goal was achieved yesterday at the Fraser Valley Kennel Club dog show, where she picked up the remaining 2 points necessary, going BOW and BOS.
She must be modest or camera-shy (well, o.k., she’s stubborn) because she was certainly uncooperative when her picture was taken. Nevertheless, the photographer prevailed and picture will be posted shortly.
