The group spent three days in Monroe WA at the Whidbey Island Kennel Club. We had a great time and some good wins.
It’s been a fun weekend at the Whidbey Island Kennel Club in Monroe, WA. The young ones are doing well. Yesterday was Carlo’s big day and today Millie was awarded her first 2 points.
Absolutely Agape Heard the Siren’s Song (Lumier and Junebug)
Although he almost looks like a different puppy in each of these photos, this is indeed Carlo, Millie’s brother.
Carlo has competed four times in the 4-6 Month Beginner Puppy Competition and placed in group three of those times (Millie beat him once!).
Both Carlo and Millie have now aged out of the 4-6 month class and are moving on to the real competition in the 6-9 month age group.
They look innocent, don’t they?
Don’t be fooled!
Millie and Carlo competed in a 4-6 month puppy show in Boise,Idaho. First dog shows are a lot for a young puppy – there is a lot of noise, a lot of dogs and strangers, a new environment. Millie did better than I could have hoped. Day one she was Best of Breed and got a Group 2 in the non-sporting puppy competition.
Millie is going to her first dog show. It’s for puppies 4-6 months old. She’ll get to see her brother and her other Bichon buddies. Should be fun!
Millie recently celebrated her 4 month birthday. Teething has gone into “overdrive” and soon she will lose those sharp baby teeth and her permanent teeth will come in.
My red girl has a new call name and a new registered name. She is Absolutely Agape Lightning Bug aka “Millie”. The “Lightning” part of her name honors her sire, Lumiere and “Bug” honors her mother, Junebug.
